Highland™ Superior Long Grain Fragrance Rice is a high-yielding fragrant rice commonly grown in the fertile Mekong Delta. Naturally cultivated and non-genetically modified, the rice is mostly grown intercropping with shrimp farming. This rice-shrimp farming rotation is an ecological agricultural model that helps farmers adapts to climate change and brings about more sustainable economic efficiency.
Highland™ Superior Long Grain Fragrance Rice has a light aroma and appears long and shiny. When cooked, the rice grains are springy, drained and sweet, making every meal a delectable one!
Available pack Size: 2 lb, 10 lb, 25 lb
Step 1: Rinse the rice with water.
Step 2: Add 1.5 parts water and 1 part rice to a large pot. For firmer rice, use slightly lesser water.
Step 3: Bring the water to a boil and maintain a simmer.
Step 4: Reduce heat to low, cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid,
and maintain a gentle simmer.
Step 5: Cook without peeking or stirring until the water is fully absorbed for about 18 minutes. (Do not peek through out the cooking so that the steam does not escape. Do not mix the rice while it is cooking as this will lead to gummy rice).
Step 6: Turn off the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for 10 minutes.
Step 7: Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
